California is offering $2,000 towards an E-bike purchase due to the $10 million in rebates that are set aside for specific California residents:

Safety. Safety. Safety. Many are worried about the dangerous that many e-bike riders create, but is this because kids are able to operate these without a license? Orange County is known to have many accidents including animals and people getting injured and also killed from operating e-bikes. Now, this $2,000 being offered is for a specific group of low income earners that earn 225% less than the Federal Poverty Level. Approved applicants much watch a safety video before using this $2,000 voucher at retailers.

The level of safety is a huge concern for many residents in Orange County but will this outweigh the purpose of going more green to reduce emissions? Will this have a larger effect on our community than perhaps funding being available for actual cars? Applications opened December 18th and we will have to see how the environment is benefiting while we continue to drive our cars as adults with opening more opportunities for injury and death for thousands of new individuals.  Soon we hope to see $10,000 vouchers for actual vehicles that will be safer for our communities. Soon we hope to see $10,000 vouchers for actual vehicles that will be safer for our communities. Every now and then we see a Karen or two, posting on The Next door App or Facebook explaining that these e-bike riders are driving these e-bikes ruthlessly throughout the community. Well, we will see how many Karens will be purchasing these unnecessary e-bikes in the next couple of months. Until then back to the Instagram we go:  @orangecountyconnect.ca
